LG Cloutier Opens New $29 Million Quebec Manufacturing Facility

Genius ERP customer LG Cloutier Group has opened a new $29 million manufacturing and inspection facility in L’Islet, Chaudière-Appalaches, northeast of Quebec City. This new state-of-the-art facility will help the company fulfill rising demands for its products, particularly in Quebec’s growing transportation sector.

LG Coutier manufactures products for the medical, industrial, transportation, aerospace and energy sectors, specializing in the production of diverse components such as bus structures, aircraft wing templates, train shells, sterilizers and essential transport assemblies. LG Cloutier plays a vital role in the supply chains of numerous industries throughout Quebec and beyond.

Operational since June, the newly established 110,000-square-foot facility has created many new jobs as well as enabled the family-owned business to increase productivity and efficiency to better serve its customers, including the likes of Alstom, Bombardier, Lion Électrique and Siemens.

LG Cloutier has over forty years of experience in the Quebec manufacturing industry. Founded by the Cloutier family in 1979, the company’s ownership changed in 2007 when Martin Grenier and two other shareholders acquired it. In 2019, Martin Grenier and his three children, who are all actively involved in the company, became the sole owners. 

Across its two facilities located in L’Islet and Neuville, Quebec, LG Cloutier Group employs 160 people and has annual revenues of over 27 million dollars. Productivity increased by 60% in the last year due to LG Cloutier’s substantial investments in technology, automation and artificial intelligence.
